Updated story!
I originally missed out a key part of the story of The Making Of Platitudes For Morons.
I have added a section headed Grandiose Vision just before the Epilogue section.
Writing work continues.

Sessions continue
I am still playing daily sessions in my home recording studio and the law of diminishing returns has set in.
I have reached the "publish and be damned" stage.
Peak procrastinating
This upload is a perfect example of why it has taken me fifty-seven years to get round to publishing my debut album.
Instead of working on the most important project of my life to date, I was listening to podcasts and procrastinating. Procrastinating is probably my greatest talent and I am going to add it to my CV one day.
As an Arsenal supporter, I found the line "Eleven of Europe's most successful clubs plus Tottenham Hotspur" to be hilarious. It needed to be shared with the world.
I spent hours on this project, clipping the audio sections, searching for club badge images and editing them. Fortunately, the Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan badges had already been modded and shared or I would have spent even longer.
The whole time I was doing it, I knew that the video would barely be viewed but if one person would find it as funny as I did, it would be worth the effort.
Introduction video
I responded to public demand (a handful of friends) and made a video to introduce myself to my channel subscribers.
I experienced a few difficulties as a creator on YouTube which helped me learn quickly about what kind of space they want their platform to be.
My music will not be available on that platform because they reserve the right to insert elite propaganda ("adverts") into any musical content.
Debut album recording sessions
I had not played guitar seriously for a few years but by this point I am playing daily sessions in my home recording studio (corner of my living room).
No recordings worth sharing with the world yet.
Debut album complete!
Twelve complete lyrics each with chord progression and melody. Twelve real songs!
First professional studio visit
I bought myself the best present for my fiftieth birthday - time in a professional recording studio. I chose to record an old folk tune that I love to sing whenever I go a-wandering on foot.
Notice how my video-making techniques take a quantum leap with the addition of the scrolling text at the start.
First electric guitar
Half a dozen snapshots of me playing my first electric guitar.
New Years Day evening 1994 at my flat in North London. Mum was going to visit family in Zimbabwe but I could not get time off work to join her. I recorded a video message for the family that included a brief section of me playing guitar.
The recording was using a handycam onto mini-DV tape and then transferred to VHS tape which has deteriorated over time. These stills are from the few clearer moments from the tape.
